From our beginnings in Bilbao to becoming one of Europe’s leading aviation academies, Flyby has always been driven by a passion for flight and a commitment to quality training. Learn how we grew from a small pilot school into a global community shaping future aviators.
FlyBy Aviation Academy is a premier Spanish-based flight training organization, founded in 2008 in Bilbao by two visionary commercial pilots. Over the past decade, FlyBy has evolved into one of Europe’s leading pilot academies and is currently recognized as the largest ATO in Spain. To date, we have successfully trained thousands of cadets representing more than 115 nationalities.
Today, FlyBy operates mainly from Burgos and Logroño airports providing an uncongested training environment with 9 ILS airports within a 100-mile radius. Our infrastructure includes:
A modern, state-of-the-art fleet of 45+ aircraft most of them offering glass-cockpit (EFIS) avionics and including 5 multiengine.
Advanced simulation technology with 4 devices, including a specialized Airbus A320 MCC simulator.
A unique academic edge: we are one of the few academies offering an integrated Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Piloting in partnership with the University of Burgos.
Our commitment to student success extends beyond the cockpit. Through exclusive Mentored and Cadet Programs we provide our graduates with direct, fast-track pathways into commercial cockpits worldwide.
